Goodbye

I found this on some crinkled up yellow post-it notes in my car. I wrote it months ago, it was stepped on with snowy/sandy boots.

A day w/o coffee is a day w/o a smile
A week w/o coffee is like a week of heroine withdrawals
A lifetime w/o coffee is bland.
Coffee
I am married to it.
Sometimes its bitter with me and I am bitter with it.
Sometimes it is warm and sweet and I love it.

Lovely Loveliness

What a wonderful Thursday it was! I handed in a paper that I had did not mind writing and feel fairly confident about, had a lovely afternoon with Tony, and a fun evening with him and my other half!

I have seem to have fallen into an Internet search/surf rut the last few days. I am not really sure what I am searching for, but if I find it I am sure it could not be half as good as the time I wasted.

A good weekend is on the radar! My parents are coming up tonight-Saturday. Al Franken is speaking on Saturday on Superior Street. My dad is one of the most dedicated DFLers in District 23A, or is it B, I should know this, is especially excited. And, the lovely Sam is coming on Saturday. I am ampted.

I checked and apparently I am in 25B for the House and 35 for the Senate. I feel like a good citizen now.

Bow wow wow ....

I had an uneventful Sat.-Mon. at home. On Saturday I in-line skated the entire parameter of Belle Plaine in about 35 minutes and not because I am that fast. I skated by a couple of boys that I graduated with. One was standing in front of a house that could very well be his, assuming he dropped out of college. He also seemed to have lost a bunch of weight that he gained in college, as well. That could either be because he picked up a convenient drug habit or because I am just used to seeing him at his keg-stand/China buffet weight. The other boy was on a motorcycle, which is just funny because that is the epitome of red neck recreation, well that and taking RV trips to Branson and anywhere where there are NASCAR races.

Sunday was Easter and the bunny visited me, even though my brother told me he was dead when I was 3.

On Monday I had an interview, which went well despite some confusion about the time of the interview. Today I have a phone interview with a museum. Keep your fingers crossed!

My roommate Chris got a German Shepard/mix puppy yesterday. It is adorable. I am pretty sure it peed on his bed because he was washing his linens and that is just not something Chris normally does.

Here's something to ponder, the blogger spell check does not recognize the words "Branson" or "NASCAR."

The Sunny Wheel of Progress

My "Kick the Caffeine" campaign is going well. I even feel like after college I will not have a reason to rely on stimulants to keep me buzzin'.

The weather has been BEAUTIFUL here! Obviously it is getting very hard to focus on anything besides being outside. I am officially doing the minimal to pass my mind-numbing classes and get my diploma.

Caffeine free

I had a lovely weekend visiting Sam, Dana and Lindsey in Minneapolis. I felt honored to be the first one to bring Sam to the $1 per pound Goodwill store off University at the Hwy 280 exit. I am even more excited that she found some wonderful things! It is one of my favorite addictions.

I have decided to try once again to end my caffeine addiction. This time however, I am going to wean myself off of it, rather than quit cold tofurky.

I watched North Country last night with Tony and Jason. I thought it was a solid ok. I more enjoyed watching the familiar scenery and looking for people I knew in the movie. If any of you watch it, I had a class with the bald guy in the first bar scene who asks Charlize Theron if he can buy her a beer.

Sunny Daze

I suppose that it is time for an internship progress update. On Friday I had interviews with two non-profits. The first one I would be doing either special event planning or public relations. With the second one it would be in corporate ticket sales. I have another interview with the first one in two weeks. I should find out about the second one at that time, too. I applied for a few more internships, which have application deadlines that are end soon, so I should be hearing about them shortly.

The weather is finally getting lovely in Duluth. When the mercury goes from 0-50 degrees there is such a drastic and wonderful change in nature and in people.

Today I went for a run on the Lakewalk, it was great.
