Bunions
Today was the first day I served in a restaurant in 9 months. I forgot what it felt like. To be behind the scenes. To make as few as interruptions as possible. To learn a new computer system. To deal with egos. To look busy when you're not. To fill beverages. To smile. To apologize. To time courses. To apologize. To not awkwardly put down the bill when you thinking "tip, tip, tip!" To feel my calves and feet ache.
I work with some fabulously sarcastic people, who make the time go fast. We were able to sample most of the entrees and desserts. The desserts were my fav.
Tony and I saw the Da Vinci Code yesterday and dined at the wonderful Luce. I had just finished the novel a few days before, but I still enjoyed it. And in the words of my favorite high school English teacher "A book is not a movie and a movie is not a book."
All and all it was nice to be able to walk outside in D-town.
